Ross Twp. Woman Wakes Up To Find 4 Men In Her Home

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Police are looking for four people after a home invasion in Ross Township.

A woman says she woke up to find people inside her home and at least one of them was armed with a gun.

Police say the intruders may have entered through an unlocked window. Right now it's just one of the mysteries.

The woman was in her bed around 4 a.m. Saturday morning when she woke up to find three black men and a white man in her townhouse.

The neighborhood sits in a quiet section of Ross Township where police get very few calls.

"The victim woke up to find four males in her residence," Ross Township Police Sgt. Benjamin Dripps said. "One entered through an unlocked window."

The men didn't hurt the woman, but they appeared to be looking for something and at this point it's not exactly clear what that was.

"We believe they were either looking for a previous tenant or had simply got the wrong apartment," Dripps said.

At the time, all four men were wearing hoodies and bandanas, possibly driving a Jeep Liberty. Police say any tips from the public might help.

"We're hoping if someone was in that area, may have noticed the vehicle leaving at a high rate of speed or possibly knows who these individuals are," Dripps said.

Police say at this point, needless to say, the victim was terrified by the incident. That's why they are hoping someone may have seen something.
