PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) – Matt Pitzarella joined Robert Mangino to host the Marcellus Shale Hour, the topic of discussion was jobs and Marcellus Shale has them available.

Pitzarella started things off by saying, “the jobs are real.”

There is room for growth in the natural gas industry, some have talked of exporting natural gas which would add even more jobs in the United States.

Travis Windle of the Marcellus Shale Coalition joined the show to discuss the benefits of the natural gas industry in our area, he called it a “boom for our economy.”

Windle also stated Pennsylvanians have seen the “benefits in their wallets.”

Michael Krancer, a partner at Blank Rome law firm who specializes in Energy practice, spoke highly of the strides made by the natural gas industry.  Krancer spoke of the “66 percent decline” in methane emissions, the reduction in emissions can be credited to the highly regulated nature of the business.

These emissions are also a product of a company, and as Pitzarella put it “we can sell these emissions.”
