PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) — WFAN midday co-host Evan Roberts joined The Fan Morning Show to break down the Islanders and Mets as those two squads prepare to face off against the Penguins and Pirates, respectively.

Roberts, a big Isles fan, got feisty over Gregg Giannotti’s suggestion that this would be the most disappointing series loss in Penguins history, and the two exchanged some words over that early on.

He admitted that Islanders fans aren’t totally confident right now, but are still feeling pretty great considering the circumstances. He pointed out that the Islanders are bound to have a lot of bandwagon fans during an unusually good run such as this one, given that New York has multiple teams in every sport.

He only briefly touched on the Mets, labeling them a complete disaster (except for young stud pitcher Matt Harvey).
