2 Arrested After Police Find $12K In Heroin In Hill District

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Two men were arrested on drug charges, after being investigated by police for several months.

Police say three months ago, they received complaints about possible drug activity at a house in the 700-block of Mercer Street in the Hill District.

Then, early Friday morning, police obtained a search warrant and searched the house.

Inside, police say they found $12,000 worth of heroin, $1,000 worth of Cocaine, two guns and more than $4,000 in cash.

Police later arrested 20-year-old Troy Martin and 73-year-old Albert Martin.

Both were taken to the Allegheny County Jail and charged on multiple counts, including possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia and persons not to possess firearms.
