Ed Bouchette's Mini Camp Wrap-Up

PITTSBURGH (93.7 THE FAN)--With OTA's and mini camp both in the book, the Steelers turn their attention to Training Camp that will be here in little over a month. To give insight to the Steelers' off-season, the Fan Morning Show talked to Post-Gazette Beat Writer, Ed Bouchette.

The running game seems to be one of Ed's areas of least concern. Despite the 'running back by committee' approach that the team took last season, Ed thinks the drafting of Le'Veon Bell has solidified the backfield. It is still very early in his development, but Ed thinks Bell has looked good, so far, in a Steelers uniform.

Ben will have a tough time finding receivers without the services of Mike Wallace, and potentially Heath Miller for a portion of the season. After tearing all three ligaments in his knee, Heath's absence could linger into the season, which would take away Ben's favorite target.

As for defense, the Steelers will be without the services of James Harrison after a contract dispute saw the outside linebacker sign with Cincinnati for less money than the Steelers offered.

"James botched that," Ed said. "It's pride. Pride is a big thing with these guys."
