Walk On Wednesday: 'Whichever Way He Goes Is Fine With Me'

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) -- Pirates color commentator and former pitcher Bob Walk joined The Fan Morning Show today for another edition of his weekly segment, "Walk on Wednesday."

He explained that he's a little concerned about the possibility of an injury hurting the Pirates in the second half of the season, noting that this happened last year with Neil Walker. He also pointed out that, on the bright side, they have more depth than they've had in recent years.

He's worried by the team's lack of offensive consistency, and because of that, he'd like to see them add a bat at the deadline. But if you want to label the offense a lost cause, he's fine with the idea of getting a pitcher, too.

Considering that he doesn't know what General Manager Neal Huntington knows, he said that he has trouble putting his finger on exactly what he wants him to do, but he'd like to see them make some sort of move.

"Walk on Wednesday" can be heard every Wednesday on The Fan Morning Show at 8:40 a.m.

Walk's comments can be heard here:
