PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) – With no games in Major League Baseball yesterday or today, talk turns to trade rumors and second half projections.

To help make sense of it all, Vinnie and Ron are joined by Danny Knobler of CBS Sports who is hedging his bets on what the Pirates will be able to do the rest of the season.

It would be a great story for all of the game if the Bucs made the playoffs.

To do it though, the offense needs to take some pressure off the bullpen.

Knobler says, “It would really be a letdown if the Pirates were the second Wild Card team and only end up with a road game and they lost that game.”

Unfortunately for the Pirates, this is not a great trade market for position players.

The Washington Nationals have the talent to catch the Pirates for a Wild Card. It will be difficult for both Wild Cards to come from the Central Division because the teams beat each other up.
