GREENSBURG (KDKA) — State police are looking for a man who has been dubbed the “Buddy Holly Bandit.”

Investigators released photos of the suspect who they say resembles the famous singer.

He stole nearly $2,000 worth of power tools from two local Lowes’ stores.

The DeWalt combo tools sell for about $600 a piece.

State police say they are a difficult item to handle.

The thefts happened on three occasions over about a 10-day period at the stores in Greensburg and Latrobe.

The suspect got away in a black 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix.
