Police Dub Power Tool Theft Suspect "Buddy Holly Bandit"
GREENSBURG (KDKA) -- State police are looking for a man who has been dubbed the "Buddy Holly Bandit."
Investigators released photos of the suspect who they say resembles the famous singer.
He stole nearly $2,000 worth of power tools from two local Lowes' stores.
The DeWalt combo tools sell for about $600 a piece.
State police say they are a difficult item to handle.
The thefts happened on three occasions over about a 10-day period at the stores in Greensburg and Latrobe.
The suspect got away in a black 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix.
