2 Injured In Spring Hill Shooting

SPRING HILL (KDKA) - Police are investigating after two people were shot in Pittsburgh's Spring Hill neighborhood early Thursday morning.

According to police, the initial call came in around 3:15 a.m. for shots being fired in the Rhine Place area.

Residents of Three Rivers Manor apartments confirmed hearing people yelling before gunfire broke out.

Pittsburgh Police said officers heading to the scene saw a silver sedan speed by in the other direction.

Officers turned around and pulled the silver car over near the intersection of East Ohio and Chestnut Streets. Inside, they found four people, including two males in the back seat who had been shot multiple times.

The driver and passenger told officers they were leaving the Three Rivers Manor area when they heard the gunshots and saw two injured men. They put the bleeding two men in their car to take them to the hospital.

Pittsburgh Police took the car to process it for evidence. The driver and passenger were briefly detained before being released.

The two injured men were taken to Allegheny General Hospital. One was shot in the chest and knee and was last listed in stable condition. The other victim was shot in the leg and was last listed as guarded.

Police have questioned a few people, but no arrests have been made at this time.
