3-Year-Old Drowns In Unattended Johnstown Pool

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (AP) - A 3-year-old girl drowned after she wandered into an unattended private swimming pool.

The Johnstown Tribune-Review reports that Jordin Sisco was pronounced dead Saturday afternoon.

Cambria County Chief Deputy Coroner Jeffrey Lees says the girl was spending the night with her father.

Lees says the adults awoke Saturday morning and realized the girl was not inside the house. They found her body in the above-ground pool, which had about four feet of water and no fence around the structure. The adults had previously been trying to teach the girl to swim.

The investigation into the drowning is ongoing.
