Pitt Analyst Bostick: Savage Frontrunner, But "Dont Sleep On Voytik"

(PITTSBURGH, 93-7 THE FAN)--Pitt football opens training camp today on the South Side. For a preview of camp, and the coming season, the Fan Morning Show talked to former quarterback and current radio color analyst, Pat Bostick.

For the first time in three years, the team will have a new starting quarterback. Pat tells us that Tom Savage has the upper hand "based on experience." However, don't sleep on redshirt freshman, Chad Voytik.

Whoever is taking the snaps, Pat tells us that he will have to play fast, because of question marks on the offensive line.

"They're still young, and they still have inexperience on the end," he said.

As for running back, they will be looking for a new starter with Ray Graham out of the mix. Also, the departure of Rushel Shell will mean that Isaac Bennett will be the featured back.

As for the defensive side of the ball, Pat tells us that everything will revolve around how the defensive line performs. We obviously know that Aaron Donald is the leader of the line, and the featured defensive player. If the line can pressure the quarterback, Pat tells us the whole defense will benefit.
