Health Department Offers 'Bounties' For Wood Stoves
Allegheny County is offering a bounty for your old wood stoves and outdoor wood-fired boilers that do not meet new rules for air emissions.
According to their website, "The Allegheny County Health Department is distributing $200 gift card 'bounties' in exchange for uncertified woodstoves and $500 bounties for non-Phase-II outdoor wood-fired boilers."
You must register the units with the county by the end of the month and turn them in sometime in September.
