2 Found Dead Inside Of Car In McKeesport

McKEESPORT (KDKA) -- Allegheny County homicide detectives are looking into the deaths of two people found in a car in McKeesport.

Gunfire was reported in the area of the 2300-block of Riverview Avenue around 9:30 p.m. Thursday.

"Both victims were shot multiple times in the head at close range. So, that indicates that the person responsible was either in the car or in very close proximity to the car," Allegheny County Police Lt. Andrew Schurman said.

KDKA's Mary Robb Jackson Reports:

A silver Toyota Corolla was found over a cliff - flipped on its roof - and peppered with bullet holes.

Once the car was winched back up, the bodies of two cousins related through marriage were found inside.

The victims were identified as 41-year-old Carlos Hudson and 49-year-old Jana Randolph...

How the alleged shooter got away is unknown.

"That's one of the big questions we're trying to answer," Lt. Schurman said.

Investigators believe that Randolph was behind the wheel.

"We do understand that the female was a part-time jitney driver," Lt. Schurman said.

Hudson's mother is numb.

"My son was an awesome man, an awesome dad. He has seven kids and he took care of his kids," Mae Hudson

KDKA's Mary Robb Jackson Reports:

But Carlos "Lokie" Hudson also spent five years in a federal prison on a cocaine conviction. He was released about a year ago.

"Motive [is] always one of the things we're looking for and robbery and drug dealing are two of the things we're looking at at the moment," Lt. Schurman said.

Mae Hudson said the answers about what her son was killed for shouldn't be hard to find.

"The street knows. Everybody knows, everybody knows," she said.

Detectives with Allegheny County Police will return to the area and continue to look for evidence, including shell casings and any possible surveillance footage.

So far, no arrests have been made.
