PITTSBURGH (93.7 THE FAN)–Pirates’ catcher, Tony Sanchez joined the Fan Morning Show on Tuesday to talk about the season, and his missing home run ball from his first Major League blast.

The Fan who caught the home run ball threw back a Pony League ball, so Tony was trying to track down the real one. The Fan actually reached out to him on Twitter, and worked out a deal. As it turns out, the fan’s son is a Dodgers fan, so Tony is working out a package to send to the kid.

Tony is now the personal catcher for Francisco Liriano, and he doesn’t really know how that happened. Tony said the key is to “let Liriano throw what pitch he wants to,” while joking with the guys. But he said that he gives his input, and tells Liriano what he sees, working on a relationship with the staff ace.
