PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) – NFL Network’s Chief Correspondent of Player Health and Safety, Andrea Kremer joined Starkey, Miller and Mueller today to discuss her feature on Darrelle Revis and his return from ACL surgery as featured on the Network’s upcoming episode of “A Football Life.”
“Ironically he’s a very private person. This whole thing wasn’t something that he sought out by and stretch of the imagination,” Kremer said. “After he had gotten injured there was a group that reached out to him that wanted to pay to shoot this whole thing over the course of the year and he and his representative turned that down. The one caveat that I had was we had to do it the whole way. We needed to start before surgery, we need to document that whole aspect of it go through out his comeback, his hopeful return.”
Kremer also details what she learned about Revis and his early life growing up in Aliquippa.
“You can understand that when you nearly got shot and die when you go home one time, well maybe coming back from a knee injury isn’t that egregious,” she said.
Kremer also discussed how she thinks Revis feels about playing for the controversial Greg Schiano as reports surfaced today that he isn’t happy with the Bucs head coach.
