CLAIRTON (KDKA) – Police in Clairton and Allegheny County are searching for a man they claim tried to abduct a teenager from a parking lot as she stood on the street.

The girl told police the incident happened in front of Pine Run United Methodist Church when a man tried to pull her inside his car around 8 p.m.

“I do know the girl a little bit. The last couple of weeks, I’ve seen her standing around actually this area here,” a neighbor said.

The neighbor said she has noticed the girl standing around the last two months and police confirmed the 14-year-old is autistic.

The suspect is described as a tall, thin, white male who was wearing all black at the time.

He was driving a dark green car, possibly a four-door sedan.

Allegheny County Police are currently handling the investigation.
