Pirates Ticket Prices Going Up For 2014

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – The Pittsburgh Pirates winning season means the price of tickets are going up slightly.

In 2013, the team says the average cost of a ticket was $17.21.

That is third lowest in Major League Baseball according to a Pirates marketing report.

For 2014, the price will increase to an average of $18.32, which the team says will still be the fourth lowest in baseball.

The team says season ticket holders will receive the greatest savings from individual ticket prices.

The Pirates 23 sellouts this season were a new PNC Park single-season record, surprassing the 2001 mark of 19 sellouts.
