PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — Pittsburgh police say a would-be robbery victim fought back and shot an alleged would-be robber in Homewood.

Police say a man tried to rob another man, who had just left Baker’s Dairy on Hamilton Avenue.

The victim fired at the robber, hitting him in the stomach and buttocks.

He got away and collapsed on a nearby porch.

Police say he was taken to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in critical condition.

Police are questioning both men and several witnesses.
