LIGONIER TOWNSHIP (KDKA) — A Somerset County woman is dead following a one-vehicle crash overnight along Route 30 in Westmoreland County.
The Westmoreland County Coroner’s Office identifies the woman as 31-year-old Tiffany Wiedemann of Boswell Borough. She died of blunt force trauma to the chest and abdomen.
The accident happened just before 4 a.m. in Ligonier Township.
According to the coroner’s office, Wiedemann was headed east on Route 30 in her Pontiac Sunfire when the vehicle traveled off the road and rolled over.
Wiedemann was ejected from the vehicle.
She was rushed to Excela Latrobe Hospital, but was pronounced dead there.
The Westmoreland County Coroner’s Office says “cell phone use is believed to have played a factor in the incident.”
Ligonier Township Police are investigating.
