NEW CASTLE (KDKA) – Two people were injured after being stabbed during a domestic dispute in Lawrence County Wednesday night.

According to police, the incident happened at a home in the 500-block of East Long Avenue.

Joseph Bohzic and his son, Terry Kohlmetz, became engaged in an argument, which quickly escalated.

Police determined that Bohzic stabbed Kohlmetz in the buttocks. Kohlmetz’s girlfriend attempted to intervene and was allegedly threatened at knife point by Bohzic.

At that point, the girlfriend allegedly stabbed Bohzic in the chest and called 911.

Bohzic was taken to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, while Kohlmetz was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown.

No charges have been filed at this time, but the investigation is still ongoing.
