PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A new round of winter weather is taking aim at Western Pennsylvania.

Forecasters say between 2 and 4 inches of snow could fall before the snow turns over to rain, sleet or freezing rain Saturday evening.

Even more snow will fall north of Pittsburgh in Beaver and Butler counties.

Snow showers are expected to start overnight Friday into Saturday morning.

Bitterly cold temperatures are expected to give way to the snow and rain.

Temperatures will rise during the day Saturday to about 36-degrees.

A slight risk of snow showers continues on Sunday as temperatures get colder.
