PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) – With the announcement of Team Canada’s roster coming on Tuesday, Penguins winger Chris Kunitz continues to find his name in the middle of a debate as to whether or not he belongs on the team.
On top of laying out the case both for and against Kunitz making the team, Canadian Press Hockey Writer Stephen Whyno presented the argument of Kunitz’s linemate, Sidney Crosby.
In a Canadian Press article earlier this season, Crosby said “I think you look at that and you see that in the past teams have really looked at that and seen it as something that’s pretty beneficial in a short-term event like the Olympics. He’s been playing great hockey. I think he definitely deserves a real hard look, and I’m sure that’s something they’ll decide.”
While the debate over Kunitz will continue all the way up until tomorrow’s announcement, another Penguin, James Neal, may find himself on the outside looking in, and 93.7 The FAN Host and Featured Columnist Colin Dunlap presented the reasons why.
