2 Sentenced In Threatening Rap Video Case

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) –Two men who were arrested in connection with a controversial online rap video that threatens the lives of police officers were sentenced Thursday afternoon.

Jamal Knox and Rashee Beasley were arrested over a year ago after appearing in a locally-produced rap video that called for the killing of cops and mentions convicted cop killer Richard Poplawski.

The video was posted to YouTube in November of 2012, but was later removed.

Knox was sentenced to two to six years, while Beasley was sentenced to one to three years.

About a dozen police officers attended the sentencing.
