Tony Sanchez Explains His Highly Unusual Choice In Walk-Up Music

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) – Pirates catcher Tony Sanchez joined The Fan Morning Show on Friday, and inevitably, before anybody even spoke a word, he was already getting his chops busted for choosing "Let It Go" from Disney's "Frozen" as one of his walk-up songs for the 2014 season.

The song began playing the second the segment began, and Sanchez was audibly laughing before Gregg Giannotti even began his segment intro.

"That song is- that's beautiful," Sanchez said once he stopped chuckling. "That's a beautiful way to wake up."

He explained that while he knows he's going to have to use the song now that he's made the decision public and news of it has been all over the internet, he hardly minds having to use it.

"I could not have it blow up like this and then not have it be me walk-out," Sanchez said. "I mean, people would riot the way it blew up. But no, first of all, I do love [it], and second of all, I knew what I was doing when I said I was taking it as a walk-out. I knew people were going to love it."
He told the guys that his strolls to the plate won't be the only times he listens to it.

"I listen to it all the time," Sanchez said. "Actually, you know, guilty pleasure, I probably have the entire album starred on my Spotify."

He added that his other two walk-up songs will be Mariah Carey's "Fantasy" and Nelly's E.I.
