Pens Injured Defenseman Paul Martin Set To Make Return

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - After missing the past 18 games because of a broken hand suffered while playing for Team USA in the Olympics, Penguins Defenseman Paul Martin will make his return Thursday night against the Winnipeg Jets.

Since Martin's departure from the lineup, the Pens have put together a record of 8-10 and will likely be happy to see him back quarterbacking their top power play unit.

On the year, Martin has appeared in 33 games scoring 2 goals with 10 assists.

Martin is just one in a long line on Pens injuries this year that have set the team back, particularly in the second half of the season where injuries along the blue line have caused the Pens to mix and match their defensive pairings.
