Missing Wilmerding Woman's Body Found In Mon River
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – The search for a missing woman from Wilmerding is now over.
The body of 55-year-old Ruth Mullennix was pulled from the Mon River Wednesday.
Her body was found not far from the Westinghouse Bridge, where her coat and cell phone were found last month.
Last Wednesday night, the medical examiner identified the body as Mullinnex, but has not released a cause of death.
Last month, 57-year-old Edwin "Lance" Wentzel was killed while helping in the search for Mullinnex.
Wentzel, a 35-year veteran of the Youngwood Volunteer Fire Department, was hit from behind by a train while search crews were out looking for Mullinnex.
