Everything You Need To Know About The Blue Jackets

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - With the Penguins and Columbus Blue Jackets set to meet each other in the first round of the NHL playoffs, Blue Jackets play-by-play broadcaster Jeff Rimer joined Starkey and Mueller to tell us everything we should know about the Pens first round opponent.

Rimer explained the ways he could see the Blue Jackets giving the Pens trouble.

"First and foremost, it's going to be goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky," he said. "Everybody is well aware the Penguins swept the season series, but Bobrovsky did not play very much other than in one game, and he didn't finish the game."

Rimer also talked about the identity of the Blue Jackets and what they pride themselves on.

"Their work ethic," he said. "I always talk to the visiting coach and management people and they all say the same thing, it was unanimous, we do not want to play that hockey team in the playoffs because of their work ethic."

Rimer also updated us on the status of some injured Blue Jackets players including Pittsburgh native R.J. Umberger.
