Investigation After Woman's Body Found Severely Beaten In Wilkins Twp.

WILKINS TOWNSHIP (KDKA) – Police say a woman was found dead after she got into a vicious argument with her boyfriend in Wilkins Township.

Police say they started searching for a woman around midnight Saturday when they received a missing persons call.

The body of 32-year-old Delicious Jones was found in a wooded area across the street from her home on McMasters Avenue Saturday morning.

Police say she was severely beaten, had a gash on her head and died sometime Friday.

"The subject of that investigation is discovered deceased in a wooded are across from her residence," said Allegheny County Police Lt. Andrew Schurman. "We are treating it as a suspicious death."

They believe she suffered the injuries during a bitter fight with her boyfriend, 36-year-old William Arrington.

That fight ended early Friday morning. Police even confiscated a neighbor's video surveillance camera that captured violent scenes of the struggle.

They believe Arrington dumped her body in the woods after beating her up.

Neighbors say Jones, who has two daughters, lived on the street for several years. Some were in disbelief that such a violent crime could happen so close to their doorstep.

Meanwhile, police eventually found Arrington at a family member's home in Wilkinsburg. He was suffering from a self-inflicted gunshot wound and remains in critical condition at a local hospital.
