Butler Man's Float Plane Landing Cause For Concern Near The Point

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A float plane prompted concern after landing on the Ohio River, near the Point.

Our news partners at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette report that Steve Grabowski intentionally landed his plane on the river around 9:30 a.m. to go to the Steelers-Browns game.

The 62-year-old flew with his dog from Butler County and intended to watch part of the game and fly back during halftime, according to the newspaper.

However, Post-Gazette says his landing on the river was cause for concern for many who called 911 and eventually led to police checking to make sure the pilot was fine.

No word on whether Grabowski decided to stay past halftime after watching today's dramatic game.
