1 Dead, 1 Injured In Overnight Indiana Co. Crash

BUFFINGTON TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- One person was killed and another person was injured in a one-vehicle, rollover crash in Indiana County overnight.

Officials say the accident happened around midnight along Shortcut Road near Camerons Road in Buffington Township.

The victim is being identified as 27-year-old Chad Adamsky of Vintondale.

According to the Indiana County Coroner's Office, Adamsky became pinned underneath the Pontic Sunfire and was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:44 a.m.

The vehicle was headed south when state police say it went out of control on a left-hand curve and went into a ditch.

The coroner's office reports the vehicle rolled several times before landing on its roof.

State police say Adamsky, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected through a side window.

His passenger, identified by state police as 19-year-old Brittany Harrington, also of Vintondale, was taken by ambulance to Conemaugh Hospital for treatment of head injuries.

An autopsy will be performed on Adamsky today.

The coroner's office says alcohol may have played a factor in the crash. But tests are pending.

State Police continue to investigate.
