Ramon Foster: Missing Panthers Game A Precaution, Should Be Ready For Buccaneers Game

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) – Steelers guard Ramon Foster joined The Fan Morning Show in his regular weekly spot on Tuesday with the Steelers set to face the Buccaneers at Heinz Field on Sunday afternoon.

Foster missed the Steelers' game against the Panthers last Sunday due to an ankle injury, but told the guys that he should be able to play in this weekend's contest.

"That's the plan," Foster said. "Ankle is a whole lot better than it was last week. More a precaution than anything. It was too early in the season to really push it, and we've got a long season ahead of us, so coach thought it was in the best interest for me to just sit this past weekend."

Foster added that he probably could have played against the Panthers had the game been a crucial late-season or postseason matchup.

"Absolutely," Foster said. "If you look back at last year, I played with a similar injury last year against the Browns, and that's when we were on that eight-game stretch right there when we were hot towards the end of the season. I had the ankle taped up very heavily because we still had a shot at the playoffs."

Foster joins The Fan Morning Show every Tuesday at 8 a.m.
