Man Killed, Another Injured In East Liberty Shooting

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – One person was killed and another injured after gunfire rang out in East Liberty Saturday night.

Police say they responded to a call for a man who had been shot in an apartment along Penn Avenue at New Pennley Place.

Police say two people were shot, however – both are 18-year-old males.

One was taken to UPMC Mercy in stable condition, suffering from a gunshot wound in his right arm.

The other man was found in a stairwell with a gunshot wound to the head. He was taken to UPMC Mercy in critical condition and later died.

Police have identified the man who was killed as Reginald Turner of Manchester. An autopsy is expected Monday.

The other man has not been identified.

No word on any suspects.
