Parkway Backed Up After Truck Hits Bridge

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Traffic on the Parkway West is backed up significantly following an accident.

PennDOT says a truck hit the bridge near the Route 22/30 interchange.

The right hand lane of the parkway inbound in that area is closed while crews inspect the bridge. All ramps will remain open though.

As of 4:45 p.m., PennDOT says the westbound lanes have reopened, but will likely have heavy residual delays.

Traffic is backed up from Robinson all the way to the city.

Drivers are being told to consider other routes.
