Cincinnati Chili

This Goes From One To Five Ways

Ingredients:

  • 1 quart cold water
  • 2# ground beef
  • 2 cups crushed tomatoes
  • 2 yellow onions
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ¼ cup chili powder 1tsp cayenne
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 2 Tablespoons cider vinegar
  • 1 bay leaf whole
  • ¼ teaspoon ground clove
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1½ teaspoon salt
  • 1# spaghetti
  • 1 bag oyster crackers
  • 8 oz shredded cheddar cheese

Directions:

  1. Add beef to water and simmer for 30 minutes until fully cooked.
  2. Next add all the seasonings simmer on low uncovered for 3 hours until chili becomes thick.
  3. Next serve immediately.

Chili Variations:
1 way = just the chili
2 way = chili over pasta
3 way= chili spaghetti and cheddar cheese
4 way= chili, spaghetti, cheddar and onions
5 way= chili, spaghetti, cheddar, onions and beans
