Boy Hit By Car While Riding Pony In Clarion County

KNOX (AP) - A western Pennsylvania boy is hospitalized after he and the pony he was riding were hit by a car and thrown 90 feet.

The pony died instantly in the crash Friday in Knox. The boy is listed in stable condition at Children's Hospital.

State police tell the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette the boy had ridden through a stop sign and into the path of the car.

Troopers identified the boy as Eli Troyer but did not give his age.
