Man Charged With More Than 200 Counts Of Child Porn & Rape

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – An Aliquippa man has been charged with more than 200 counts of child rape, sexual assault and possessing child pornography.

Michael Bickel, 24, faces 218 charges ranging from child porn to photographs of children engaging in sex acts on the computer to rape of a child.

According to the criminal complaint, in July, Google reported that an image depicting suspected child porn had been uploaded to an outgoing message by Bickel.

Google indicated that the message in the e-mail said, "Got more where that came from."

In October, authorities were granted a search warrant so they could access Bickel's account information.

During the investigation, authorities determined that over 100 images were exchanged between Bickel and someone else via e-mail.

These images showed naked children between the ages of 5 and 12 exposing themselves.

After further investigating, authorities went to Bickel's job in Burgettstown to question him. The complaint says Bickel told authorities he accessed child porn on his phone.

A total of 475 videos and photos were found in just one folder on his phone.

The complaint says he told police he produced those images and videos himself. During questioning, Bickel admitted to engaging in sexual acts with at least two male children.

During that time, they were between the ages of 7 and 11 and he says contact took place between the summer of 2010 and February of this year.

Bickel is being held at the Washington County Jail on $600,000 bond.

His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, March 18 at 10 a.m.
