Police: Scorned Girlfriend Set Married Boyfriend's North Braddock House On Fire

NORTH BRADDOCK (KDKA) -- A two-alarm house fire sent firefighters to North Braddock on Wednesday afternoon.

The fire started just before 4 p.m. at a two-story home in the 200-block of Lobinger Avenue.

County police think the fire may have been intentional set and it may involve some sort of love triangle.

Thursday, investigators determined that the cause of the fire was arson.

The suspect is a woman who was allegedly upset after her boyfriend decided to go home to his wife.

According to police, this was a woman scorned and she was on a mission to get even with the man she felt did her wrong.

Christina Jackson, 28, of North Versailles, is charged with setting the house on fire.

It's the home of Robert and Ashlee Dunn. Dunn told police he and his wife were separated for about a month and during that time he had a relationship with Jackson.

But when Dunn told Jackson he was going back to his wife, she became upset and while he and his wife were at the Monroeville Mall, Jackson allegedly set the place on fire.

According to the criminal complaint, Jackson told Dunn she was at his house and "was going to burn it down ... that she was going to get even and would keep doing things to him until she felt better."

The fire started in the dining room and witnesses say they saw Jackson sitting in her car in front of the Lobinger Avenue hose.

The house was gutted by the fire and the Dunn's pit bull mix died inside the house.

Jackson is currently in the Allegheny County Jail on charges including arson, harassment, burglary and cruelty to animals.

The Red Cross is also helping the Dunn family.
