SWAT Situation In Brookline Ends Peacefully

BROOKLINE (KDKA) – A SWAT situation ended peacefully today in Brookline.

Officers were called to a house on Fiat Street around 10:30 a.m. after a man was reportedly firing a gun outside of a house.

The man held officers at bay for about four hours until SWAT fired tear gas into the house.

Police say the man has a history of mental illness and was taken to the hospital to be evaluated.

The suspect's mother was in the house at the time, but was able to get out safely.
