Motorcycle Officer Injured In Oakland Crash
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A Pittsburgh Police motorcycle officer is in the hospital after an accident early Saturday morning in the city's Oakland section.
According to officials, it happened around 7:45 a.m. near the intersection of Forbes Avenue and Craig Street. The officer's motorcycle and an SUV collided.
The officer was unresponsive when paramedics arrived on the scene.
He was taken to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in critical condition, but has since been upgraded to serious condition.
The driver of the SUV remained on the scene, police said.
Police are investigating.
