McIlroy To Play In PGA Championship
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - Rory McIlroy, the No. 1 ranked men's golfer in the world, will return to action next week in the PGA Championship at Whistling Straits, which sits between Milwaukee and Green Bay.
The revelation comes four weeks after McIlroy, a native of Northern Ireland, ruptured his left anterior talofibular ligament (in the ankle) while playing soccer with his friends. He missed all of the Open Championship at St. Andrews.
As evidenced by the official announcement below, McIlroy has been paired with Americans Jordan Spieth, the reigning Masters champion and U.S. Open champion, and Zach Johnson, who is fresh off an Open championship.
