Final Two Hard-To-Recycle Events, Held By The PA Resource Council

According to a press release from the Pennsylvania Resource Council Pennsylvania residents have one last chance to clean out the basement, the garage and the tool shed in preparation for the Pennsylvania Resources Council's final two collection events of the 2015 season.

PRC will collect a wide variety of materials – ranging from pesticides and paints to tires and computers – at two events in October:

PRC HARD TO RECYCLE COLLECTION – OCT. 3

Individuals can drop off "e-waste" such as computers, cell phones, printer/toner cartridges, CFLs and expanded polystyrene packaging material at no cost.

For a nominal fee, individuals can drop off alkaline batteries, fluorescent tubes, small Freon appliances and tires.

Saturday, October 3, from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

The Mall at Robinson (parking lot near Sears), Allegheny County

PRC HOUSEHOLD CHEMICAL COLLECTION – OCTOBER 10

Individuals can drop off automotive fluids, household cleaners, pesticides, paints and other household chemicals for a cost of $3/gallon (cash only).

Saturday, October 10, from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Bradys Run Park Recycling Center, Beaver County

All events are held rain or shine.
