Furry Tails: Lucky-To-Be-Alive Puppy Rescued At Sea

He was one wet noodle!

But he's also one very lucky noodle. You see, Noodle, he's a little Labrador puppy who just had one very harrowing experience at sea. Click here to watch the video on CBSNews.com.

And the whole thing was caught on cell phone video, which is now going viral.

It all began with a sailing club out for the day on the waters of the Mediterranean Sea, off the coast of Naples, Italy.

They spotted something very odd in the water. No, not Nessie or a wild-looking sea serpent. No, this was something much cuter, but in a lot of distress.

It was Noodle, and the sweet little pup was swimming for his dear life!

Turns out, Noodle had been on a ferry boat but was thrown overboard.

His owners wanted to organize a search and rescue party for the pup, but officials on the boat thought the odds were against little Noodle, so the said no.

Yes, the odds may have been against him, but Noodle proved them wrong.

It was 30 minutes later when the sailing crew spotted Noodle in the water. They pulled the puppy into their boat and got him dry and warm. And most of all, gave him some comfort.

Noodle has now been reunited with his family.

He's more than fine, too. He's found some international fame as well, not just in Italy, but all over the world as the video of his rescue continues to be shared across social media. He even made it on to CNN.

We're very happy you're alive and well, Noodle. But maybe it's safer from now on to just stay away from the water!
