One Dead After Westmoreland County Vehicle-Pedestrian Incident

WESTMORELAND COUNTY (KDKA) -- One man died Friday evening after being struck by a car in Westmoreland County.

According to the Westmoreland County coroner's office, 32-year-old Robert L. Yednak, Jr., died at 7:50 p.m. Friday after being struck by a car.

Yednak was attempting to cross Business Route 66 in Hempfield Township with another individual, who has not been identified, when the two were struck by a Honda Civic.

Yednak was pronounced dead at the scene by a deputy coroner. The official cause and manner of death will be determined after the autopsy on Saturday.

There is no information on the condition of the other individual or the driver.

Pennsylvania State Police are also investigating.
