Pregnant Woman Assaulted, Stabbed, Robbed At East Hills Nightclub

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A woman was arrested early Sunday morning for assaulting, stabbing and robbing a pregnant woman at an East Hills nightclub.

Plum Borough Police have arrested 22-year-old Jasmine Hardin of Plum for attacking and robbing a 31-year-old Ebony Parran at Taboo Nightclub.

Officers responded to the nightclub around 1:20 a.m. Sunday for a report of a stabbing.

Police say Parran was inside Taboo Nightclub with Ivory Parran when Hardin approached her and began an argument. Hardin then attacked the pregnant woman, stabbed her in the shoulder and punched and kicked her in the stomach. Police say after the assault, she took the victim's cell phone and money and fled the scene.

"The female victim was stabbed in the back right shoulder," said Emily Schaffer, a spokesperson with the Pittsburgh Police. "The actor also was kicking, punching and assaulting the victim...kicking her in the stomach when she was pregnant."

Parran went to a friend's house after the attack and called 911. Paramedics arrived, and she was sent to West Penn Hospital in good condition. She believes she was possibly stabbed with a box cutter, but wasn't exactly sure.

"While the victim was being assaulted, her sister was there with her, and there were other individuals that engaged in the assault, they held the sister back from helping out her sister," said Schaffer.

Hardin later called the police station and wanted to talk to officers about the incident. Plum Borough Police went to Hardin's home on Saltsburg Road and placed her under arrest.

She was sent to Allegheny County Jail. Her charges include aggravated assault, aggravated assault on an unborn child and theft.
