Study: Professors Give Attractive Female Students Better Grades

(KDKA) - A new study shows that professors give attractive female students better grades than unattractive female students. As for the boys, looks don't seem to matter.

According to DailyCaller.com the research was presented at the annual meeting of the American Economic Association. The study was conducted by two economics researchers at Metropolitan State University in Denver.

They collected ID pictures of students and rated them on attractiveness from 1-10. Then they studied those students' grades, and used factors such as ACT scores to get an idea of the students' academic ability.

For female students, their attractiveness rating directly affected their grades. An increase of one standard deviation in attractiveness was associated with a 0.024 increase in grade(on a 4.0 scale).

The researchers found that the so-called "grade punishment" for less attractive women disappeared in online education.

For male students, a lack of attractiveness did not help or hurt their grades.
