Bengals LB Vontaze Burfict: "I Hate Pittsburgh"

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Fighting words from a player known to draw anger from Steelers fans.

Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict had a harsh response when asked about the team's upcoming AFC wild-card game against the Steelers on Saturday.

"I hate Pittsburgh," Burfict said after practice on Wednesday, according to Triblive.com.

Vontaze Burflict has been a controversial character in the NFL, particularly in the past few months.

Ben Roethlisberger said Burfict tried to purposely injure him by tackling the Pittsburgh QB around the legs in Week 14. The NFL agreed and fined Burfict $69,454.

Burfict has also been criticized for showing little remorse after his tackle of Le'Veon Bell in Week 8 resulted in a devastating knee injury. Steelers offensive lineman Ramon Foster accused Burfict of intentionally trying to hurt Bell.

His most recent comments are fuel for the fire headed into Saturday's game.
