Lake Erie's Icy Waters, Snow, Winds Create "Carcicle"

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Did you finally have to dig out your ice scraper this morning?

Well, at least one driver along Lake Erie in New York is going to need something a little stronger.

Mother Nature has turned that person's car into a wintery mess.

Icy water from the lake combined with snow, rain and heavy winds to create what's being called a "carcicle" near Buffalo.

A lake effect snow band was dumping about two inches of snow per hour on the region Monday morning.

Safe to say this driver won't be taking their car out any time soon.
