2 Arrested, 1 Sought After Shots Fired Into Home Hosting Birthday Party

MENALLEN TOWNSHIP (KDKA) – Two people have been arrested and a third is sought in connection with shots being fired into an occupied home during a birthday party in Fayette County.

According to police, the incident happened around 8:22 p.m. Tuesday at a home in the 100-block of Post Office Road in Menallen Township.

The birthday party was going on inside the home when several rounds were fired. In all, nine adults and seven children were inside the home.

Two women on the front porch were nearly hit, but there were no reported injuries.

State Police processed the scene, got a description of the vehicle involved and left around 10:30 p.m. However, three suspects returned to the house in separate vehicles around 11 p.m.

State Police were called back, but all the suspects had fled. Nearby, police located a vehicle matching a description of one of the suspect's vehicles. That suspect, Patrick Dugan, 22, of Uniontown, was taken into custody at that time.

Two of the other suspects fled on foot. Christian Cicconi, 21, of Smock, was quickly found and taken into custody.

The third suspect, Zachary Helisek, 18, of Smock, is still on the run.

Dugan is believed to be the person responsible for firing the shots into the home. Police said the shooting was related to Helisek being ripped off during an alleged drug deal earlier in the evening.

Both Dugan and Cicconi are being held in the Fayette County Prison and bail has been set at $100,000. They are charged with multiple counts of criminal attempt and conspiracy to commit homicide.

Anyone with information about Helisek's whereabouts is asked to call Pennsylvania State Police in Uniontown at (724)-439-7111.
