More Than 30,000 Cases Of Tuna Recalled Over Spoilage Concerns
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Bumble Bee is pulling more than 30,000 cases of tuna off the shelves due to spoilage concerns.
The company announced that the recall involved three specific UPC codes of Chunk Light tuna: 8660000020, 8660000021 and 8660000736.
The issue stemmed from "process deviations" that could result in contamination by spoilage organisms or pathogens, which could lead to life-threatening illness if consumed.
There are a total of 31,579 cases that are included in the recall, which were produced in Feb. 2016 and distributed across the country.
