Fayette Co. Man In Court, Accused Of Shackling Teen

FAYETTE COUNTY (KDKA) -- It was supposed to be part of an agreement- a Fayette County man would give another man a loan, in exchange for help with household repairs and his 15-year-old daughter would help the man's disabled fiancée. Instead, the 15-year-old says she was shackled and forced to have sexual contact when she went to the man's home.

Christopher Brown faces charges of kidnapping, indecent assault and false imprisonment. The 30-year-old didn't say anything as he left his preliminary hearing Monday afternoon.

The 15-year-old testified at the preliminary hearing, saying she was handcuffed, shackled and gagged by Christopher Brown when she stayed at his home on February 9, 2016. She testified that she was staying at Brown's house as part of an agreement, to help his disabled fiancée.

The girl testified that after Brown's fiancée had gone to bed, she was lying on the couch, when Brown brought out a box containing handcuffs, foot shackles and a ball gag. She said Brown handcuffed her, put her feet in the shackles and gagged her. Then returned to his bedroom. She testified saying, " I was too afraid to say anything, I was shaking, frightened."

The girl said a few minutes later Brown returned to the living room where she was and took the handcuffs off and the gag out of her mouth, then returned to his bedroom. She said he returned a third time, wearing only his boxers, and exposed himself, forcing her to touch him, with her feet and then her hands. The teen said Brown went back to his bedroom, leaving her in the foot shackles. The girl said she then texted her father to tell him what was happening.

She said, "I had to figure out how to take the feet chains off and when I did, I contacted my dad."

State police seized the box containing the handcuffs, shackles and the ball gag. A state police trooper testified that the items have been sent for forensic testing.
